The precast concrete cladding to the loft had to all be cut individually in order to achieve the look of full boards throughout, this had to then be adjusted internally so that we could get full tiles in the loft bathroom. Bespoke flutted Valchromat MDF made on site and finished with low VOC Rubio Monocoat products in te loft, 3d tiles to the ground floor cut at 45% angles on the corners to achieve sharp corners and pre fabricated mdf ceiling pannels were some of the visual finnishes.
The low energy design was another great achievment and not usual for this type of house. The air source heat pump was complimented with solar pannels to help with energy consumption. Cork insulated walls and lime plaster were done to all the external walls finished in breathable paint from EARTHBORNE. We loved working with Patricia and Gwen and the team at BVDS architechts and the results speak for themselves.
