We worked with architects Bradley Van Der Straeten to make Zoe and Benedict’s bold and bohemian dreams a reality, and transformed their four-storey home into a series of colour-loving living spaces that reflect the couple’s eclectic creativity. The property had previously been divided into two dwellings, and so needed to be converted into one, fully connected space in order to reinstate the home to its fullest potential.
We removed every internal wall on the basement level, and lengthened it with an infill single-storey extension to create a fully open plan, linear space that connects seamlessly to the rest of the home via a new stair. The upper floors held a trove of period features, which were preserved and made poignant through Zoe and Benedict’s artful use of colour, and considerately offset by the more modern mood of the bathrooms.
